Agueda Pedrero
Agueda Pedrero Encabo has got a BA degree in Musicology at Oviedo University.


She has been teaching in the area of Musicology at the University of Valladolid from 1999.


She is also a professor at the Master of Hispanic Music at this university.


Her researches are focused on instrumental music of the 17th and 18th centuries and the rhetoric of Baroque music.


Her publications include The Rise of the Keyboard Sonata in Spain (Valladolid, 1997), and some editions for organ woks by José Elías (Barcelona, 2008), Vicente Rodríguez (2010) and three keyboard sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti (2011), as well as papers on the music of Cabezón, Cabanilles and Scarlatti.


She has been invited to international congresses (“XVIIe, XIXe, XXI siècles: Bruxelles, carrefour européen de l’orgue”) and has been a lecturer at the Universities of Sao Paulo (Brazil) and Melbourne (Australia).
