Marta Serna
Marta Serna Medrano (Aguilar de Campoo, 1975) is graduated in Musicology (Univesity of Valladolid, 1997). She was fellow researcher at the program University Profesors Trainning/Formation (University of Valladolid, 1999-2002) and at the program Short Stays at a Foreign Institution developed at Early Music Institute (Indiana University-Bloomington, 1999), Bologna (Dipartimento di Musica e Spetaccolo, 2001) and Oxford (Faculty of Music, 2002)


She is graduated in Organ at Madrid Royal Conservatory (RCSMM, 2007) and PhD in Musicology (Univesity of Valladolid, 2015) defended the doctoral thesis Order and Sense in the Tientos or Practice Discourses of Francisco Correa de Arauxo: The Facultad orgánica (Alcalá, 1626) in Context.


Her scholarly interests include compositional and precompositional procedures in the 17th century keyboard music works as well as musical systems that permit create a tensional hierarchy in the works that not respond to and exclusively tonal organization of sections.
